Bowl projections are based off conference power rankings.  Power rankings are divided into three sections: Upper part are teams that have reached 6 wins and are bowl eligible, middle part are teams projected to win 6+ games based off current record and remaining strength of schedule, lower part are teams projected to finish below 6 wins or are already eliminated from postseason games.  Matchups of 40 games done based on chosen conference matchups.  In instances where a conference did not have a representative, that spot was flexed to another team.  Such instances are noted with *. 82 teams are projected to finish bowl-eligible, only Akron and Ohio are left out of bowl matchups.
